There is a poor perception of the risk of emotional overload among professionals (higher among men). If the health professionals (or supporters to health work) do not internalize that they need support and that they can receive it, the interventions will not have the expected effect. This scale could contribute in that direction.

The professional who scores 15 or more direct points is a candidate to resort to activated emotional support devices. For example, to the telephone line (Resource 11) or to systematically resort to the mindfulness technique recommended in this document (Resource 12). The professional who has 25 or more direct points should consider using the individualized support consultation enabled by their center (Resource 14).
